Q. What inspired you to get into the telecom industry? What kind of challenges came your way?

A. After receiving a tremendous response for our 24-hour satellite news, A2Z News, we decided to enter the telecom industry. This decision was based on our desire to play a good role in the mobile revolution in India by providing superior quality handsets at an affordable price.

This proved to be a challenging job as there was fierce competition in the market. Making an entry into the market meant that we had to compete with the established big and enterprising small players, which we did successfully. We have carved a place for ourselves in the market by providing superior quality handsets with great features at affordable prices.

Q. Discuss your growth plans and the growth opportunities that lie ahead of you.

A. This success has inspired us to expand our business pan India and in many other countries by creating a well-managed set-up. The work is in process already with an infusion of more than INR 10-billion capital in a short span. This capital will help the company introduce innovative products and increase our visibility in the market through media and other promotions.

Q. How do you ensure quality products to your consumers? What is so unique about your products?

A. We strive to design our products in a way that maximum number of applications required by the customer should be available in the handset. We also make it a point to conduct thorough QC thrice before dispatching the products so that the customer should not face unnecessary problems. Still if there is an issue, the company happily resolves it.

Q. How difficult is it to attract and retain people?

A. It is quite difficult to attract and retain people in any industry. We attempt to provide a happy and positive atmosphere with effective communication channels, room for learning, growth and advancement. Our experience generally has been on the positive side and we continue working on their needs to keep it that way.

Q. What expectations do people have from you?

A. The customer would be the best judge. However, Josh Mobiles keenly follows feedback and conducts research to meet the requirements and desires of customers. Our main focus is on customer satisfaction and happiness.

Q. And what do you expect as a leader? A. That the team should give its 100 per cent to the business and always remember that: T-Together, E-Everyone, A-Achieves, M-More.
